   First and foremost, most network marketers don't fail the opportunity, the opportunity fails them. Many network markers put in the work, but their work did not produce long term income.
   Every opportunity has 4 fatal flaws that keeps their consultants or distributors from being successful.
The main reason why most network marketers fail is because a product is sold. 98% of the opportunities out there are product based. They range from makeup, necklaces, vitamins, to spatulas... even mushroom coffee.
To achieve financial freedom you have to build a distribution network of size. Here's the problem with product based opportunities: Product based opportunities will place 4 huge hurdles in from of team you brought together.

4 hurdles of network marketing:
1. Training: Half the people are out. They don't like school, it's time consuming, and expensive. People who enter and opportunity want to make income immediately. If they don't go to the first training, or get the info they need, they're out.
The statistics are this: You put (10) people in your business, and (5) don't make it past the training.

2. Selling: People who start their own business have have to go our to their friends and family and sell them on benefits of product. ... convince them to take out money aside for the benefits every single month. Ideally it's advantageous to have something everyone already uses, and that they don't have to change their habits, nor budget aside for it. Ideally they can save on something they already use. Even some opportunities have where the customer, consultant, or distributor can get their free product or service.
The statistics are this: you put (10) people in your business. (10) drop out during the training phase, (3) drop out because they can't sell. Your at a 20% success rate after the first two hurdles.

3. Customer retention: So you've got (2) left in your business. They're trained, they can sell/convince, but here's the 3rd hurdle they run into: people like to buy the way they've always bought. Anything contrary to their habits is disruptive.

Think of it like this. Every product based company is the same. A customer signs up for our product, they're put you on auto-ship, and they don't allegedly have to worry about a thing. This is a great model for the first month. The second month gets a little sketchy. The 3rd month people are getting buried in boxes and protein products or other inventory are getting stacked up to the ceilings. This is the kind of pressure that causes people to cancel their autoship.

So people inevitable cancel their autoships. ... Let's imagine this. Imagine when someone who's been on autoship spending maybe $50, $100, $200+/month goes away. When they go away the distributor or consultants commissions go away. So... either distributor or consultants has to go out and replace those customer, or they have to go to their existing customers to get them to buy more. Imagine if it was your friend or family members whom you had to rely off this income. How would they feel? How would you feel?

What you will start seeing is that you loose customers faster than you can bring them in. So what happens is you can't efficiently build a residual income. Can it be done? Sure, but it surely isn't easy nor do the statistics prove them so. ... Remember that if you or your team has to to go out there to replace customers and consultants and distributors for that matter, that's work. Residual income is the only thing that creates real financial freedom. You have to find the right vehicle.

The key is you want nothing to change for your customers. And once you get your customer you want to make sure your customer is staying for life. That's true residual income.

4. "Never made any $".  It's no wonder you nor your team made many. The first out of (10) out of (5) weren't trained, the next (3) couldn't sell, the other (2) last of the Mohicans couldn't keep their customers, and they couldn't make their $ nor could you. 
Financial freedom is not millions of dollars in the bank. Real financial freedom is being able to have a residual income that pays your expenses month month after month without having to work for the money.
